OUT OF SEQUENCE
In a matter of seconds

These stopped watches

laying in this recess of sound

for all we think we are?

unreal feelings pass over me

We go between fiction and a dream
winds rush through
swept across this overpass
we can’t go home anymore
because it’s not there

maybe we’ll be here tomorrow
unreal highs will give it away to me

Floating above these shadows
in the ground
Do we get down once we’re all up here?
Staying back to let them all go..ahead
Still these secrets
the world will never know

We’d go higher than the stars
to get where we are
How do we take this chance?
tomorrow might never be there

BLINDED
Spinning out of control
Alone in this madness
Reviving the signs
I always knew were there
I left this place
and didn’t come back
because I found where
I needed to be
you weren’t there to find me

Pieces of my mind
splitting and breaking
all on the floor
And my eyes
are blinded by this faith

Moving through these tunnels of sights

SEPARATE PLACES
Trying to find ourselves
in separate places
learning too fast
that we can’t
keep up with it all
where it does it go?
and where does it leave us
finding the moments
it doesn’t pretend to be anything
for all that it’s worth

and get ourselves together

Our minds in hyperspeed now
hazy stacks of shimmering lights in the sky
the calm descends and buries itself

We’re face to face
and second to none
getting to know ourselves better
Do we stand a chance
against these odds?

Beat the laws
laid down by us

FALLS APART
Strangers that pass underneath the radar
Circling overhead
Never meeting eye to eye
Sonar beeps
searching for signals in the moonlight
This submarine captures and relays them
again

Going through this canal of memories
Selecting what we really want to feel again
Skimming the water searching for survivors
There was nothing to see because the only ones
were ourselves

We didn’t know where we’d end up today
Taken aback released from what we say
Silence dissolving in the voices from above
Be right with what’s happening
If we can’t find a way back

At least we trying to return to the now
Don’t worry, we’ll be there
when it all falls apart
Where could we go to
where we’ll find ourselves again?

RISE TO THE SURFACE
Drowning efforts
knowing we gave it our all
floating beneath what we’re trying to say
Could it be we didn’t try to make this work?
Well I hope we did because I don’t know where to go from here

We can’t go any further or deeper
We have to rise to the surface again
And once we do, how do we get out of this?

We stood with hesitation
time was about to run out the door
Proving to us that glimmers of hope

FULL CIRCLE AGAIN
It’s slowly melting down
the way it came to be
The games that we played
are no longer in existence

Full circle… it’s back again

Seems like this time

IN THE CLEAR
Look at the different ways
we’ve turned on ourselves
to think this was all
an illusion to start with
Realizing that what we had
to face was there
Knowing that now
we’re really and fully alive

We’re in the clear again
somethings that passes beneath
the glimpse of ourselves
tucked away

Standing up against the grain
doesn’t matter… if I never see the end
What will pass the time?

Taken out of context
how we really feel about this
Bring it back down to earth
these thoughts are so easily persuaded
On the right track
to get this all back together
New outlooks and old faces
co-existing again

Phenotract album “Shifting” released this week

It’s my great pleasure to release my 3rd official album this week..Phenotract “Shifting”. It’s a hybrid of new wave, dreampop, synthpop, and electronica. I worked with some real talented vocalists as well – Katharine Heller, Niabi Caldwell, and Anaben from the band By Night With Spear. I am truly excited for it and hope that people listen to and like it.

I’ll be blogging on here more with music that I hear that inspires me, happenings in life, and just general silliness.
